Christmas Hacks

It’s one day before December and we are busy getting gifts for our loved ones. But it doesn’t mean that we can’t let our creative juices come in. We could also try to lessen the waste by reusing stuff found in our houses.

These are some of the Christmas hacks we did for this year’s gift giving season.

1) loombands gift tags

I am sure a lot of us has a stash of loombands somewhere in the house. Remember the year it was so IN?

My daughter’s gifts to her classmates are colorful pens and instead of wrapping it with gift wrappers and waste a lot of paper in the process, we thought of just putting mini gift tags on it.

We printed the gift tags on our stash of board papers at home, got the loombands out and voila, we got our own diy loombands gift tags.

2) old travel magazine gift wrapper

Another thing I decided to do is to use old travel magazine’s pages as gift wrappers. The item is a travel luggage tag and what more fitting than using paper with beautiful pictures on it.

3) reusing paper bags

From shopping and gifts from previous years, we have accumulated all sizes of paper bags. So I reused them for this year’s gifts.

Just put on some holiday tags and they are good to go.

EaTogether Food Hall by Vikings

If you have a big family, it’s really hard to decide on what cuisine to eat on a Sunday Family Day. Nothing to fret anymore as Vikings has already introduced EaTogether Food Hall. It’s a one stop fusion food hall with high tech self service ordering and paying counters.

This is not your usual food court, this place is actually a cool hang out place. The interior is very nice. They even have live music during weekend.

They offer different cuisines all in one food hall! And since Vikings is behind this great concept, you can be sure that food is of quality.

HAWKER LANE

Singaporean dishes await you here at Hawker Lane. Their fried rice and crispy noodles are good. The salt and pepper squid is tender and not chewy, the breading is not salty at all.

JUST STEAK A MINUTE

This is where you will get your grilled stuff. The salmon is not proportioned to the rice. The rice is just too much. The salmon’s good though, it’s perfectly grilled and not toasted!

If you want something healthy, you go directly to this stall. They have Salad in Bowls or in Wraps. They also serve bibingka and puto bumbong.

Seeing those meat balls made me want to get a bowl and create my own shabu shabu meal. I controlled myself since I wanted to try Hawker Lane. Next time maybe.

SECRET CHICKEN

This stall is already closed when we arrived. Their cheesy chicken looks yummy. That’s something to try on our next visit.

MIEN BAO

If you’re craving for noodles and dimsum, this is where you should order.

DRINKS

They also have a separate stall for your drinking needs.

Another good thing about this place is their self service order and payment stations. Very high tech. Just press your choices into the machine and pay via your Vikings load, credit card, debit card or even via PayMaya.

Press press then tap tap! Easy right?

I love the concept of this food hall. Unlike other food halls, their prices are lower and the food they serve tastes good.

This is actually the 2nd EaTogether food hall. The other one is in SM Megamall. This branch is located at the 2nd floor of Uni Mart supermarket building at Capitol Commons.

Day 12 – November 18, 2019 – Goal is 4 Miles!!! Do 4 Miracle Miles!

Day 13 – November 19, 2019 – Goal is 1 Mile. Do 1 Mile Walk Party.

Day 14 – November 20, 2019 – Goal is 3 Miles! Do 3 Miles from the Walking Off the Pounds Workout.

1 more week to go and we have accomplished the 21 day challenge. Give yourself a pat in the back for doing so well.

Day 19 – November 25, 2019 – Goal is 3 Miles. Do the Walk to the Hits Radio Remixes

Day 20 – November 26, 2019 – Goal is 2 Miles. Do the 2 Mile Walk from the Walk Off Fat Fast Workout.

Day 21 – November 27, 2019 – Goal is 1 Mile. Walk with Family.

Walk at Home by Leslie Sansone 21 Day Challenge – Part 1

I decided to do the 21 day challenge of Walk at Home by Leslie Sansone. I have been doing her workouts for the past weeks and I am enjoying every minute of it.

For most working moms like me, finding the time to go to the gym and exercise / work out, is really hard. Time’s not even enough at home. But I am fortunate to have discovered Walk at Home by Leslie Sansone. Check her videos out. Even a 5 minute walking exercise will make you feel light.

So here it is, I attached all the corresponding videos per day, if not the actual work out. Just play and walk. You don’t even have to search anymore.

We could do it mommies! 😉

Day 1 – November 7, 2019 – Goal is 2 miles. Do the Fast Walking in 30 Minutes.

Day 2 – November 8, 2019 – Goal is 1 mile. Do the 1 Mile Walk from the Miracle Miles Series.

Day 3 – November 9, 2019 – Goal is 2 miles. Do the Belly Blasting Walk – 2 miles with belly slimming moves.

Day 4 – November 10, 2019 – Goal is 1 mile. Do Easy BEAT – 20 min 1 mile walk.

Day 5 – November 11, 2019 – Goal is 3 miles! Do 3 Big Miles – Advanced Cut 45 minutes.

Day 6 – November 12, 2019 – Goal is 2 miles. Do 2 Mile Walk from the Walk 15 series.

Day 7 – November 13, 2019 – Goal is 1 mile. Do 1 Mile from the 5 Mega Miles Workout.
