Filipinos love to eat – it doesn’t matter what time of the day or night. So there are really restaurants that are open 24/7 or open in the wee hours to cater to these midnight snackers. 😁
Mushrooming in and out of the city, Goto Tendon will surely catch your eye with their bright red logo.
After a night of celebrating a friend’s birthday, with hard liquor taking much of the space in our tummies, our friends and I decided to go to Goto Tendon to eat some hot meal. This is the best thing to do after you get drunk! 😁
I sipped some lugaw from my husband’s big bowl of Goto Tendon, and I immediately liked the taste. I am not a fan of Goto and Pares, since I like my lugaw (congee) plain or just with chicken.
The Sizzling Tendon is a must try also. My friend mentioned that the resto should allow clients to order with or without rice. It’s just like a pica pica you could eat without the rice.
Crunchy lechon kawali goes well with the tofu in Goto Tendon’s version of Tokwa’t Baboy.
And of course, last but not the least, my order – Ube Cheese Con Niyebe. This is like a Korean bingsu / Pinoy Halo Halo altogether. Lavender colored, Ube tasting shaved ice topped with cheese and leche flan. Yummy!
One of these days, we are gonna go back and try their silogs (fried rice with egg) and a pares or 2.
Hope to see you in any of Goto Tendon’s many many branches! 😘. You may also visit their Official Facebook Page, Goto Tendon.
In the midst of bustling Binondo, a hidden cafe has emerged! Located at the roofdeck of a newly constructed building along Quintin Paredes Street in Binondo Manila, this gem takes you away from the hustle and brings you to a serene place that is R Cafe and Bar.
It’s the new place in town so we decided to hold our Christmas Party at R Cafe and Bar last December 20, 2019. They have a private function room good for 15 people. The room was spacious enough that we were able to play table games.
They also have another area that can be booked for private parties.
The food was great. We ordered plated meals for everybody plus a few ala carte orders to share.
Their serving is just right for a plated meal. One person can get filled, especially when you order the meal with one of their coffee drinks.
R Cafe also boasts of a roofdeck open area overlooking the Manila skyline. It’s a nice view to look at regardless if it’s daytime or nighttime.
Here are some more shots. We really enjoyed taking pictures in the al fresco area. Hope there will be live bands performing next time.
I’ll be visiting R Cafe and Bar soon. I just hope they are more organized with their reservations now.
This is a really good place to hang out after a long day at work.
