Celebrity Lounge Family KTV and Restobar

Pink? Purple? Pink? Purple?

Love these 2 girly shades?  Have something to celebrate?  Then Celebrity Lounge is the place to be!

As you go up, you will be loving their wall to wall design by the stairs.

Then as you enter the lobby, you will be in awe again!  This is their waiting area!

I love the interior of this place.  Biased because of the colors!  Haha!

They have about 20 rooms.  Depending on the number of your group, you could choose which room suits you.

Their room rates are not that expensive.  They also have packages you can avail.

The littlest of their rooms, room for 6 pax.

The next room is good for 8 pax.  Slightly bigger than the previous room.

Rooms getting bigger and bigger.

They can also connect 2 rooms to accommodate more people.

The J.Lo room can accommodate up to 40 pax.  A projector will replace your usual monitor.

The biggest room is the Beyonce Room.  It could accommodate up to 60 persons.  It also has a projector.  There’s a bigger space for dancing and there is a disco light to up the mood for performing!

Their food is tasty and not expensive.

Nachos
Chicken Tenders
Beef Salpicao
Tokwa’t Baboy
Pork Liempo

The place is clean.  Even the Rest Rooms are well kept.  I love the designs of the doors.

The best thing about Celebrity Lounge? Their Staff and their Service!

I want to thank the Kuyas and the Ates for a job well done.  Thank you for accommodating our requests.  Thank you for keeping those smiles all the time. Thank you for your continued look out through the window by the door to check if we need anything.  Thank you for touring me to check the other rooms.  Very much appreciated.

Till next time!

Promo: Starbucks 2017 Planner

It has been a tradition to most of us to collect Starbucks stickers to get that “Starbucks Planner”.   I particularly can’t get rid of this tradition even if I  am not that much of a coffee drinker.

Check Starbucks.ph to read on the full mechanics on how to get this planner.

Simply put though, to get the Starbucks Planner, one has to purchase 9 cups of Starbucks’ core beverages and 9 cups of Starbucks’ Holiday beverages.  Every purchase entitles you to a corresponding sticker.  When you complete the 18 stickers, then you can redeem a 2017 Starbucks Planner in any branch.

The promo will run from November 2, 2016 to January 8, 2017.

Here is my cup by cup journey in getting that planner.

I  am so grateful for friends who donated their stickers to me.  Technically, I only have to purchase 8 cups on my own.

I can’t wait to get my 2017 Starbucks Planner!  Update soon!

Family: Family Dice Games 2016

Being Chinese New Year the biggest celebration in Chinese Calendar, this season known as the Mid Autumn Festival is next.  In Chinese Culture and Tradition, we celebrate the end of the “Ghost Month” to ward off bad vibes and unncessary spirits.  Aside from giving out different variants of mooncake, we also celebrate by playing dice games.

This Game is a game of chance that depends on the combination of your thrown dice.  Every combination corresponds to a level and prizes.

Every year, around September or October, families and friends gather to celebrate the Mid Autumn Festival.  The day usually consists of a lunch or a dinner together, then a dice game afterwards.

For our family, I usually take charge of what prizes to include in the game.  We just  set a budget per person then go from there. We deduct the budget for food and spend the rest for prizes.  This has already evolved, before, our prizes just consisted of hopias.

How to play?  It’s so easy.  There are a total of 6 dice.  You  throw it on a ceramic bowl and wait for the combination to appear.

There are 6 levels of prizes:

The Chong Guan is the highest of them all.  Minimum combination to get is 4 fours then it gets higher and higher. If you get 6 fours then you are a very lucky person as you could wipe all the prizes, but of course, too much of everything is bad.  So some break the bowl and just get the Grand Prize, then they continue the game for everyone to get the other prizes.

2nd Prize. Here you could either throw a combination of 3 each of 2 same numbers or a series of 1 2 3 4 5 6.

3rd Prize. The combination you need is 3 fours.

4th Prize. You need to throw a combination of 4 same numbers (except four).

5th Prize. 2 of the easy ones to get. 2 fours.

6th Prize. The easiest of them all.  All you need is 1 four.

For a detailed post on how to play the dice game, read here.

So there! Go organize your own dice game now! It’s super easy to play and so fun!  For adults and kids alike!

Food Trip: Jollibee Adobo Flakes Yum Burger and Halo-Halo Sundae

A few hours after we came back to the Philippines, we find ourselves inside the leading fastfood chain in the country, Jollibee.

Always on the lookout for new items to try, I ordered a Value Meal with Burger, Drinks and Sundae.  Ironically, this meal was just launched last May 31, 2016.  (The day I left the country for a vacation.)  And it’s in time for celebrating our country’s independence.

image

Photo taken from Jollibee Facebook Page

The Jollibee Limited Edition Pinoy Favorites consist of Adobo Flakes Yum Burger (Php59.00) and Halo Halo Sundae (Php35.00).

image

I’d rather that this is also in a Rice Variant because I think the concentration of the sauce is too salty for a burger.  It’s the same as your yummy YUM burger but the original dressing is removed to give way for the tender flakes with sauce that’s put on top of the burger.  Overall, it’s tasty and a nice mash up burger.  Worth to try.

image

Next is the Halo Halo Sundae.  Oh this one I love the most.  It has your regular milky Vanilla sundae topped with Halo Halo toppings.  A few pieces of red and green Nata de Cocos, strips of macapuno, bits of beans, cuts of bananas and a finish of Ube syrup make up for this sundae.

I always love my halo halo with a lot of milk so the milkiness of the sundae is complementing it right.

I think these 2 should be permanent in Jollibee’s menu.  Not only do we take pride for being Filipinos who excel in whatever field we pursue, we also take pride in having lots of delicious Filipino foods.

So what are you waiting for, while Jollibee hasn’t decided to make this permanent yet, go ahead and try these while it’s there!

I will never get tired of having Jollibee for breakfast, lunch or dinner.  It has become a staple in my life.

#Ang sarap, ang saya maging Pilipino!

Family Mode: Easter 2016

A few days to go before Easter, so busy that this post is only now.  Don’t worry though, I am sure you could still find a venue for your kids.  I did just last week!

image

If you have a family member who is arriving or just arrived from abroad, Duty Free Philippines Fiestamall is the perfect place for you.

This event is FREE!  Just register and get a shopping card.  A shopping card entitles you to a coupon that allows 2 of your children to join in their festivities.

Be there early as it starts 9am.

image

There’s also an event in Macapagal, the Easter Hoppening at Blue Bay Walk.

This is also FREE!  200 participants would be entitled to tickets to join in the Easter Fun.  All you need is shop for a minimum Php500.00 single or accumulated receipt from participating shops and register.  There will be Easter Event Stations beginning at 4pm.

That is so easy.  By the way, a maximum of 3 registrants per shopper is allowed.  For more of the mechanics, please read here! ↓

image

Another event that is happening on Easter is the one in Fun Ranch.  You can choose which branch you will join.

image

This is not FREE though.  Kids need to pay Php 550.00 to register and adults Php 275.00.

For more details, you can call the Alabang or the Ortigas Branch to inquire.

image

An Easter Egg Hunt at Bayview Park Hotel is also happening.  A bit expensive because of its Php1,500.00 rate.  It includes 1 child and 1 adult.

Maybe it’s okay as the registration fee includes not only the fun and games but also food and drinks!

And then there’s the one we are going to.  Easter Playland at The Podium.

image

This is FREE!  You just need to have a BDO Credit Card and purchase a minimum single receipt of Php 1,500.00.  Present this receipt at the registration booth found at the 2nd Level of Podium and they will exchange it for a coupon that entitles a kid and 2 adults to join in the fun!

They have a lot in store for all the kids.  And the reason I chose this event was because there’s a meet and greet with a Shopkins Character!

My kids are loca over Shopkins so this is perfect for them!

Entertainment: 50 Shades The Musical Parody

Omg! Just finished watching 50 Shades The Musical Parody!  It’s really hilarious!  Everyone’s so into it and we are all just laughing our hearts out!

image

I got our tickets at 30% off.  From the regular tickets at Php2,500.00 for Loge seats, I got it only at Php1,750.00 each.  So I paid Php3,500.00 for 2 tickets.

When we got to the Carlos Romulo Auditorium at RCBC Plaza, we were told that we can get Orchestra Seats because the show’s not filled up.

What a lucky day!

We ALL know about the real 50 Shades of Grey Story, don’t get shy about knowing it.  It’s normal and we should be proud that we read all 3 books in such a short time and we watched the film on its first day and that we can’t wait for the 2nd film! Hahaha!

The 50 Shades Musical Parody takes off from the original story but it’s entirely a different show altogether.  They made it super funny!  The sexual content is there but you will laugh it off!

I don’t want to divulge any information because it will ruin the surprises they prepared for the show.

It is a must watch.  It’s still showing.

For more details, check out the Official 50 Shades Website here.

This is brought to us by Vivre Fort Entertainment.
