Family Mode: Easter 2016

A few days to go before Easter, so busy that this post is only now.  Don’t worry though, I am sure you could still find a venue for your kids.  I did just last week!

image

If you have a family member who is arriving or just arrived from abroad, Duty Free Philippines Fiestamall is the perfect place for you.

This event is FREE!  Just register and get a shopping card.  A shopping card entitles you to a coupon that allows 2 of your children to join in their festivities.

Be there early as it starts 9am.

image

There’s also an event in Macapagal, the Easter Hoppening at Blue Bay Walk.

This is also FREE!  200 participants would be entitled to tickets to join in the Easter Fun.  All you need is shop for a minimum Php500.00 single or accumulated receipt from participating shops and register.  There will be Easter Event Stations beginning at 4pm.

That is so easy.  By the way, a maximum of 3 registrants per shopper is allowed.  For more of the mechanics, please read here! ↓

Another event that is happening on Easter is the one in Fun Ranch.  You can choose which branch you will join.

image

This is not FREE though.  Kids need to pay Php 550.00 to register and adults Php 275.00.

For more details, you can call the Alabang or the Ortigas Branch to inquire.

image

An Easter Egg Hunt at Bayview Park Hotel is also happening.  A bit expensive because of its Php1,500.00 rate.  It includes 1 child and 1 adult.

Maybe it’s okay as the registration fee includes not only the fun and games but also food and drinks!

And then there’s the one we are going to.  Easter Playland at The Podium.

image

This is FREE!  You just need to have a BDO Credit Card and purchase a minimum single receipt of Php 1,500.00.  Present this receipt at the registration booth found at the 2nd Level of Podium and they will exchange it for a coupon that entitles a kid and 2 adults to join in the fun!

They have a lot in store for all the kids.  And the reason I chose this event was because there’s a meet and greet with a Shopkins Character!

My kids are loca over Shopkins so this is perfect for them!

Entertainment: 50 Shades The Musical Parody

Omg! Just finished watching 50 Shades The Musical Parody!  It’s really hilarious!  Everyone’s so into it and we are all just laughing our hearts out!

image

I got our tickets at 30% off.  From the regular tickets at Php2,500.00 for Loge seats, I got it only at Php1,750.00 each.  So I paid Php3,500.00 for 2 tickets.

When we got to the Carlos Romulo Auditorium at RCBC Plaza, we were told that we can get Orchestra Seats because the show’s not filled up.

What a lucky day!

We ALL know about the real 50 Shades of Grey Story, don’t get shy about knowing it.  It’s normal and we should be proud that we read all 3 books in such a short time and we watched the film on its first day and that we can’t wait for the 2nd film! Hahaha!

The 50 Shades Musical Parody takes off from the original story but it’s entirely a different show altogether.  They made it super funny!  The sexual content is there but you will laugh it off!

I don’t want to divulge any information because it will ruin the surprises they prepared for the show.

It is a must watch.  It’s still showing.

For more details, check out the Official 50 Shades Website here.

This is brought to us by Vivre Fort Entertainment.

Family Mode: Christmas Village in Manila Hotel

Today is Christmas Day!  Merry Christmas!

If you don’t want to stress yourself on where to bring the kids today, you might want to bring them to the Christmas Village in Manila Hotel.  Yes, you heard it right, in Manila Hotel.

Their Grand Lobby is made even grander with their giant sized Christmas Tree, the Gingerbread House, the Polar Bears and the Penguins.  You can have your pictures taken and it’s absolutely free!

image

image

Then there’s the Christmas Village at Parsons Street.  Glad that my brother bought us tickets so the kids could enjoy this wonderful village.

To get passes to the Village, you have to pass
by the Mayor’s office.

image

The ticket can be bought for Php1,500.00.  That’s inclusive of a Manila Hotel Teddy Bear and the following:
1) a Can of Cookies
2) Storytelling
3) Movie Time with popcorn
4) Tea Time
5) cotton candy and ice cream

image

First stop for the girls is the Bookshop.  There’s a wonderful storyteller, her name is Teacher Jolly, who reads you stories.  You can also have some coloring activity done.  You can also read by yourself and just enjoy the cozy bookshop with the beautiful interior.

image

Then we went and get our popcorn and off to see a movie.  The Santa who is manning the Grand View Theater chose the Polar Express for us.  It really is a nice film that tells kids about the story of Santa.  The theater is not your ordinary one.  All the chairs are Lazy Chairs.  You can put your feet up and just enjoy the show.

image

After watching the movie, we got hungry.  So we proceeded to the Patisserie to have some tea and snacks.

The kids enjoyed being served with “tea” and having a plated meal. They loved the chocolates that is free for all on the table.

The rest of the rooms are named according to the village theme. But some are just used for functions and not really for the Christmas Village.

image

Thank you Aku for this wonderful and unique experience.

How about you guys, you might want to let your kids experience this too! Go to Manila Hotel now. Proceed to the Mayor’s Office to get your tickets!

Don’t forget to bring a camera as there are so many places to take snapshots of!

Merry Christmas!
