Shopping: DIY Christmas Presents

Busy. Busy. Super busy!

With the Christmas Rush and all, it is really hard to make time for shopping for individual presents for friends and families.  Add to that Exams Week and increased orders for my Lock-It Lockets business.

But this doesn’t mean you just have to let the spirit of giving personalized gifts just go away. This present may be somewhat “generic” but we still made some effort in preparing it.

An ordinary cookie jar turned into something a little extra ordinary.

Lined up and ready to be filled!

Bought these cookie jars and they are boxed.  We decided to take them out of their boxes so it’ll look nicer when given.

Christmas Tags

Printed these tags and cut them out.

Swiss Miss Dark Chocolate

I don’t bake cookies but we wanted to put something inside so we bought Swiss Miss Dark Chocolate Drink.  Who doesn’t love chocolates anyway?

We put at least 6 sachets in each jar.  Some of them can’t fit more than 6.

Looped the Christmas Tags into a gold string and wrapped the gold string around the jars.

Gift
Santa
Snowman
Christmas Tree

Aren’t they cute?  It will not be the cost that will make these presents memorable but the effort you put into it.

Merry Christmas!

Shopping: Personalized Tshirts for Giveaways – Disney’s Tsum Tsum

Just gonna plug another of our rakets (business).  Pardon me but a mommy’s gotta do what she needs to do to give the kids a nice future!

Aside from my Lock-It Lockets, me and my husband also dabble in printing Personalized Tshirts.  This started when we couldn’t think of a party souvenir for our first born’s Jolly Kiddie Party.  So we decided to just print Tshirts that has my daughter’s picture in it.  He edited a photo of Jollibee and friends and he put D1’s photo and it turned out great.  As if the photo was really taken when they were together.  The guests who received the shirts were fascinated and I guess that started it all.

Our latest work is something the kids would really love to receive.

This is for my friend’s kid’s party at school.  They chose the design and put a child’s name in each shirt.

The turn out?  Cute Tsum Tsum Shirts!

We are currently making shirts for my D2’s birthday at school as well. Our peg is still Tsum Tsum, but this time it’s Tsum Tsum Pokemons.  So excited!

I am pretty sure a child will want a shirt with his favorite character design and his name on it this Christmas!

Check out our online shop, My 24/7 Shoppe and look for the album Tee Square Printing or viber me at 09228886261 for inquiries and orders!

Promo: HSBC Red

I got offered by a telemarketer and I am so thankful.  I was hesitant first but I gave in.

She offered me a new HSBC Red Mastercard and this card has more promos than the Platinum one.  It even has a new card promo.

Once approved, an accumulated spending of Php5000.00 will entitle you to Php3000.00 worth of free shoes from Payless Shoesource!  Neat right?

After spending, once you are qualified, you will receive a text message from HSBC redeem that you can now claim your shoes in participating branches.

The message will look like this:

Check the list of participating branches, not all will allow the redemption.

We went to the Paseo de Sta Rosa Branch to claim ours.

What better feeling than having new free shoes!  Of course, my kids have their own share too!

For the terms and conditions, check this.

Lifestyle: Wired

Stumbled upon this concept store in U.P. Town Center’s Tiangge last weekend.

I love anything personalized and customized so this really caught my attention!

The MAIKala Wire Concepts offers a wide variety of handmade stuff, from keychains to bookmarks.  Their items are made from wire.  All for a practical 100 to 200 pesos.

Being a collector of key chains, I had a keychain made.  I waited for a few minutes while the artists strut their stuff.

Pretty little thing huh?

And while I browsed through their FB Page, MAIKala Wire Concepts, I found all these artworks.  I so love them!

All the following pictures were taken from MAIKala FB page.

Credits to the owner.

Read on to find out how they started.

Food: Hot Hot Hot

This post is nothing like my previous posts about food.  Be prepared to get fired up as we talk about this cool store we found at Ayala Malls Serin in Tagaytay City!

The Original Hot Sauce Store is the first of its kind here in the Philippines.

Definitely caught our attention!

Upon entering the store, displayed in the middle is the Hottest Chili Sauce in the World!

Smokin Ed’s Carolina Reaper was awarded by the Guinness World Records for being the hottest chili last 2012.  It is grown by The PuckerButt Pepper Company (USA).  It rates an average of 1,569,300 Scoville Heat Units according to tests conducted by the Winthrop University in South Carolina.

Check out this Periodic Table of Scoville Heat Units.

The Reaper is Number 54! A long time ago, Philippines’ Siling Labuyo was the hottest of them all, it’s now ranked at 38 with about 100,000 Scoville Heat Units.

These sauces may not be for us but it’s definitely a nice thing to give to those who love hot sauces!

Look at these cute names and packaging!

The owner gladly assisted us and discussed the different kinds of chilis and the many many variants of sauces.

We bought 2 bottles to try.  It was in a simple white fabric bag with a bag tag attached to it.

An additional bag tag was also given to me! Yippee!

Check them out on Facebook,

Original Hot Sauce Store.

Public Service: Artistically Tristanne

You might be curious as to why I titled this blog post as Public Service.  Well, I personally think that I am doing the public a favor by introducing them this super duper talented and artistic lady who goes by the name of Tristanne.

I am always in awe when I see her Facebook posts about her doodles, sketches, drawings, creations, or whatever you want to call these works of art.  I can’t help but press the like button.  I have always been a FAN!

Come Father’s Day, she gifted her dear father a pair of hand painted shoes.  She made the white slip ons her canvass.

You can see that the characters she painted had full semblance with the original ones.

Her parents couldn’t be prouder.

Then she posted another pair of hand painted shoes.

A wacky Odie and Garfield but still looked awesome.

And then she played with her mom’s old branded bag and the result was just as amazing.

There’s always that one person who will be first.  This next bag is the first commissioned bag Tristanne did and she will have that privilege forever.  Especially when Tristanne, in the nearest future, is already well known in the industry as one talented artist.

So there, you have seen her work and for sure, you’re asking these questions in your mind.  How can I contact her?  What design can I ask her to do?  Do I have an old bag or even a new one for her to use?  Bag or Shoes?

You may contact Tristanne through her Facebook Page, Tristanne Yasay or through her Instagram, @Tristanneeee.

This girl is just starting out but I am pretty sure that she will go a long way.

So proud of her!  Go contact her now before she gets too busy!

Galleon.ph is an online shopping website and most of its products are those hard to find here in the Philippines.

I must say, they have a wide selection of things, from regular toys to high end bags!!  They divided these products into 13 categories.

I have been browsing through these categories and there are some things that I am eyeing!  Definitely gonna buy these when I get husband’s approval.

First on the list are Lego toys for my kids.

It’s almost summer so I would like to build a beach house!

Another thing that caught my eye is this!

Jumbo Plastic Eggs that you can customize like those in the Egg Surprise Videos in You Tube!  I’m sure my daughters would love this!  Too bad it’s out of stock as of the moment!

Lastly, after choosing some toys for the kids, I need to choose something for myself too!  And this is now on my Wish List!

Shopping: Cherry Shaw

If you want to do your grocery shopping quietly and without the hustle and bustle of a very crowded supermarket, then this supermarket’s for you.

Cherry Shaw is newly opened, just last October 2015, so I think not everyone knows about it yet.  When we went there a few days ago, I only saw a few people shopping.

Imagine having a number of aisles all to yourself.  That’s how few the people were.

Another factor is that it’s super clean.  Shiny floors, new shelves, new stocks, almost everything is new.  Even the guards by the parking lot are so courteous.

This is really the place to do your grocery shopping.

Take a look at some of the photos I was able to get.

Another plus for us is the super new CARts for children.  They have 3 designs which vary in sizes, just choose one suitable to your child.

Cherry Foodarama has been acquired by SM Investments from the Ong family. Cherry Foodarama has been in the business since the 1950s and is considered as one of the pioneers in this line of business. They have been known for their low prices for both local and imported brands.

Why don’t you check it out?
