Lao Beijing Dumplings

Sharing another underrated restaurant that is needed to be known!

Along P Guevarra Street in San Juan, there’s a building which houses one of the best authentic Beijing dumplings in the metro – the Lao Beijing Dumplings!

Simple no nonsense interior

Beijing Fried Rice

– super tasty fried rice, a different take on your usual Yang Chow Fried Rice

Xiao Long Bao

– soup filled dumplings

Shrimp & Pork Dumpling

Kuchay Dumplings

Vegetarian Dumplings

The dumplings are filled with meat, shrimp or veggies. They are all very juicy and very tasty. A hint of vinegar and some chili garlic will complete the dumpling experience.

What I like about this place – the dumplings are relatively cheap, but absolutely authentic.

They also offer a lot of other dishes that you couldn’t find in regular Chinese restos. I would try those next time, if we will not order 4 kinds of dumplings again. 😂😂😂

Caution Hot!

Check this new ramen house which you could mix with your choice of hotness!
Sounds hot right?  Check out this spicy restaurant.

They opened in Kapitolyo recently and the place is packed.

Don’t expect a full menu of ramen though.  Mixing and matching is their thing.

Our choices:

1) Beef with Egg Noodles in Classic Broth.  Level of spice – none.

2) Pork with Wheat Noodles in Asam Laksa.  Level of spice – super hot.

3) Pork with Egg Noodles in Classic Broth.  Level of spice – none.

Our verdict.  The noodles are served fresh.  But the overall taste is just average.  It’s worth the trip if the waiting time is not that long.

What I love is their Dumplings.  They have 2 kinds.  Pork Dumpling and Kuchay Dumpling.  They are both made fresh.  We had about 2 orders of this and before we knew it, dumplings’ all gone!

Would have tried their Dessert Bao Bing if we haven’t been too full.
