Killing Time (at Greenhills Shopping Center) in the Middle of A.P.E.

When you’re employed, having an Annual Physical Exam is required. It usually takes up a whole day or more if you need to do some follow up tests or if you need to see a different doctor. In my case, today is my 2nd follow up and I came in as scheduled for my laboratory and blood work. However, I needed to do some more tests which can only be done in the afternoon. Instead of going back and forth, I decided to just stay and roam around. It’s the best thing to do, and one of the reasons I chose Health Cube in Promenade Greenhills. It’s 12nn and I basically have 5 hours to burn.

This is how I killed time. I went up to the ground floor, browsed at Fully Booked and bought the 3rd book from the Crazy Rich Asian series, Rich People Problems.

Planning to read it while waiting. I also thought of watching a movie but went against the idea. After paying for the book, I felt my stomach grumble so off I walked to the other side of Promenade and to the foodcourt. I have charge slips to convert into GCs at Bonchon. #freelunch 😂😂😂 I had my lunch there and I stayed about an hour. To my surprise, the chicken’s so juicy.

After my 1 hour lunch. I decided to walk towards Shoppesville and VMall. I passed through all the different restos. There’s Bizu, Cibo, Gerry’s Grill, Isla Pulo, Pedro and Coi, Hokkaido Santouka Ramen and many more.

I crossed over to Shoppesville, the main shopping area of Greenhills Shopping Center! So many things to see here.

The fountain which you could only see from the 2nd floor, it’s situated in the middle of it all. Too bad it’s covered by the shops on the ground floor.

2nd floor is dedicated to the gadgets and accessories, it has a passageway going to the Vmall. I didn’t go through this area because I didn’t want to be offered left and right, I also have no intention of buying any gadgets or accessories.

Back to the ground floor where I mostly walked (and shopped), it has aisles and aisles of clothes, bags, and home decors.

Scored some super affordable everyday wear. I love the colors and the fabric of these blouses I bought. These 3 blouses set me back for less than a thousand bucks! 🤑🤑🤑

And I am so loving the black one. ⬇⬇⬇

There’s also an area for home decors, artworks and antiquities.

An area’s dedicated to shoes that are locally made, The Shoe Center.

If you like branded watches, bags and shoes (Class A to Class AAA), you could definitely find it here. There are also rows and rows of jewelries especially pearls.

Another thing that Greenhills kept from way back is the open garden that connects two areas. It also has a chapel where shoppers can say a prayer or two.

After Shoppesville, I also went to the Shoppesville Plus and the Toy Area near the Theatre Mall. I enjoyed looking at the toys I forgot to take pictures!

After about 3 hours of non stop walking, I was so thirsty and tired, I decided to go back to Health Cube and just read and wait there. The doctor came early and I was done by 530pm.

The Greenhills Shopping Center also added a new building for Uni Mart, a grocery store, and O Square 1 and 2, where you could find mostly restaurants.

So there, I hope you learned a thing or two from my experience today. Share share share!

Subic = Shopping

Being in Subic reminds me of so many memories especially during my childhood. It is just so sad that it’s not as it’s used to be now. When we were there last weekend, it looked a little like ghost town in some parts, not much people to be seen in the streets. The shopping centers are so old and very not well maintained anymore. It even looked dirty in some. The other shops literally didn’t have customers and even the personnel were just standing waiting for their closing time.

Since there is a newly built Ayala Mall now by the name of Harbor Point, maybe some businesses will follow. So that Subic will be back to how it’s used to be.

Here are our visits to the duty free shops and outlets inside Subic Bay.

1) Royal Duty Free Subic (old one)

2) Royal Duty Free (new one)

Same stuff being sold only the place is newly built – meaning cleaner surroundings.

3) Freeport Exchange

This place looks terrible now. It boasts of being the 1st duty free store, but it doesn’t make an impact at all.

4) Puregold Duty Free

5) Adidas

6) Nike Factory Store

I think there is still hope for Subic because it is still one of the nearest places to go to outside Metro Manila aside from the very crowded Tagaytay. People are still flocking, just not that many. I like that it isn’t that crowded but I hope the malls are kept nicely.

The prices are still competitive and some items are not found anywhere else.

Let us bring hope to Subic Bay, so our kids can experience what we experienced. Before there were Landers and S&Rs, there were Royal Duty Free, Puregold and Freeport Exchange.

Stay tuned for more of our Subic adventure!

Where to go Sho(e)pping in Hong Kong?

Hong Kong is a paradise for shopping lovers like me and my husband.  But we don’t like over the top shopping.  We are bargain hunters.

In this post, you will find out where the best spots are for shoe shopping. They are almost always on sale.

1) Times Square in Causeway Bay.  The Bazaar is a secret shopping sale center.  It changes every week but we were in luck.  There is a Sportswear and  Casual Wear mega sale from February 9 until the 14th.  We went there on our first day, the first day of sale also.

Big brands like Adidas, Nike, Reebok, Puma, Converse, Skechers, Toms plus some more display their stuff here.  It is a big treasure chest and if you know how to dig deep, you may be able to find your own treasure.

If there is no mega sale ongoing at the Bazaar, Times Square has a lot to offer still.  From signature brands Gucci and LV and Chanel from regular Nike shops, Marks and Spencer or Zara, they all have big boutiques here.

2) Sports Outlets at North Point

These are factory outlets so they are on sale 365 days of the year. Sometimes, they have promotions, like buy 2 pairs and you will get additional 20% discount.  That is on top of the slash from the original price!  Be sure to ask!

4 outlets in a stretch. Heaven right?

3) Sports Outlets at Paradise Mall in Heng Fa Chuen Station

Newly discovered and it didn’t fail us.

Every man for himself!

Hope you enjoyed my post today.  Be sure to go to these places when you come to Hong Kong.

I certainly did enjoy shopping for our whole family’s shoes in these places!

Oh by the way, there was 1 Nike Shop that was having a Removal Sale and Hubby got this pair!

Nice huh!

Happy shopping!

Promo: HSBC Red

I got offered by a telemarketer and I am so thankful.  I was hesitant first but I gave in.

She offered me a new HSBC Red Mastercard and this card has more promos than the Platinum one.  It even has a new card promo.

Once approved, an accumulated spending of Php5000.00 will entitle you to Php3000.00 worth of free shoes from Payless Shoesource!  Neat right?

After spending, once you are qualified, you will receive a text message from HSBC redeem that you can now claim your shoes in participating branches.

The message will look like this:

Check the list of participating branches, not all will allow the redemption.

We went to the Paseo de Sta Rosa Branch to claim ours.

What better feeling than having new free shoes!  Of course, my kids have their own share too!

For the terms and conditions, check this.

To apply for a new card, go to www.hsbc.com.ph.

I Found It on Galleon.PH

Have you ever wanted something but it’s not available here in the Philippines? Now is the time to rejoice as I have stumbled a new shopping place online!

Galleon.ph is an online shopping website and most of its products are those hard to find here in the Philippines.

I must say, they have a wide selection of things, from regular toys to high end bags!!  They divided these products into 13 categories.

image

I have been browsing through these categories and there are some things that I am eyeing!  Definitely gonna buy these when I get husband’s approval.

First on the list are Lego toys for my kids.

image

It’s almost summer so I would like to build a beach house!

Another thing that caught my eye is this!

image

Jumbo Plastic Eggs that you can customize like those in the Egg Surprise Videos in You Tube!  I’m sure my daughters would love this!  Too bad it’s out of stock as of the moment!

Lastly, after choosing some toys for the kids, I need to choose something for myself too!  And this is now on my Wish List!

image

A Gucci in Red! I fell in love with this bag the moment I saw it!

Galleon.ph has many features and these are in my top list.
1)  Prices are all-inclusive and they take care of shipping, customs and taxes.
♡ no need to worry about hidden charges!

2)  Ships nationwide and delivers via air (6-12 business days) and sea (35-40 business days).
♡ after a few clicks, you won’t need to lift a finger anymore, just wait in your doorstep until your package is delivered!

3)  Has efficient customer care. With that, buying and shipping of items not on their website can be requested.
♡ since they specialize in products not found in the Philippines, you can also request for products that are not found in their website!

4)  Has multiple payment modes.

5)  Has a “ship my item” feature where in Galleon.ph act as a PO box service but you don’t get charged shipping fee by the box but on the item itself. www.galleon.ph/shipmyitem
♡ something worth trying for those who are shopping savvy!

Whew!  Isn’t that great?
